This is a walk for prospective new members who want to know more about walking in a club environment and what’s actually involved with hill walking.
An opportunity to ask any questions related to hill walking in a relaxed friendly environment for example what sort of fitness levels do I need what kit should I wear?
The walk will be over the Bennachie 3 peaks a good starting point for progressing your hill walking. The route is approximately 10km long taking around 3-4 hours.
The meeting point is the Rowan Tree car park at 09:00 please car share if possible, the car park can get busy.
We will walk up the Maiden Causeway to the Mither Tap then over to Oxen Crag with our final peak at Craigshannoch before descending back to the Rowan Tree car park.
This walk will be zero cost but please register your interest sign if you plan to join the walk to have an idea of the numbers.
